Record Mode While in Run mode, if the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) voltage exceeds 3.00 for 1-2 seconds the Scanmaster will monitor O2 and knock retard. You can also press Recall to return to O2 and knock. Each time you press Mode, it will scroll through data until you get back to O2 and knock retard again. Pressing the Mode button selects other data from various engine sensors. You will also see degrees of knock retard, which correlates with how bad the car is knocking (detonating), which will normally show 0.0. On the display you will see O2 millivolt readings from the engine s oxygen sensor. Run Mode When communication is established, the Scanmaster will enter Run mode. If no data is received the Scanmaster will show No Data. 1ģ Power Up On initial key-on, the Scanmaster will attempt to connect. Reconnect the battery and test the Scanmaster. Make sure the Scanmaster G option is turned on the Powerlogger software. If using a Powerlogger, connect COMM to the SCM terminal 7 of the input board. You can either splice into the orange wire going to pin E behind the plug, or you can use a.125 (or a 2.8mm) blade male spade connector to push into the plug. The signal is pin E, top row, second from the left.

You can install a male spade connector, which will push into an IGN terminal. One of the empty IGN terminals in the fuse box works well. Connect the 12v terminal to a 12v power source. Connect the GND terminal to a good ground. One for ground, one for 12 volts, and one for communication. You will need to create 3 wires using 18-22ga wire with a 1/4 female spade connector. Removing the 2 nuts will allow removal of the mounting bracket. It installs like any gauge in a 2-1/16" gauge holder or pod. Disconnect the battery negative cable under the hood.
